It’s Absurd That the Prime Minister is Responsible for the Policies of the NSS and Police: Marukyan

“We criticize the failure to implement promises and the deviation from the declared path: The opposition must lobby for its programs, as there is no other way to advocate for them,” stated Edmon Marukyan, the leader of the Bright Armenia faction in the National Assembly, during a Facebook press conference at Azatutyun Radio.

He specifically addressed the current government and commented on the discussions regarding the changes in the status of the Police and the NSS.

He noted that by becoming ministries, these entities would not turn into political structures, as this would diminish the role of the Ministry of Defense. According to him, it is absurd that the Prime Minister is responsible for the policies of the NSS and Police.
