‘I Smell the Scent of the Past’: Sasun Grigoryan Discusses Incident in Abovyan
In the city of Abovyan, located in the Kotayk Province, elections are underway, and one of the candidates, Sasun Grigoryan, has already cast his vote at polling station 29/02. Commenting on the incident that occurred yesterday in Abovyan, Grigoryan told NEWS.am that he would refrain from further comments for now and advised to wait for announcements from law enforcement. However, he added, “I smell the scent of the past.”
He expressed high expectations for today’s elections and is confident about winning.
It is noteworthy that last night in Abovyan, the residence and vehicle of Vahan Saribekyan, the head of the campaign office of Gagik Gulyan, the city mayor candidate from the ruling Civil Contract party, were set on fire.
Five candidates are running for the mayoral election in Abovyan, with current mayor Vahagn Gevorgyan and Gagik Gulyan being considered the leading candidates.
