This was stated by David Khajakyan, the leader of the "Luminous" faction of the Yerevan Council, during a live Facebook broadcast, highlighting an incident that occurred with his relative late yesterday evening.

"They approached while drunk, asked what he was doing, who he was, and if he was trying to rob this area. The relative explained that it was his rented space and stated who he rented it from, then asked them who they were. These two intoxicated individuals claimed to be police officers, after which the relative had to insist on seeing their identification for a long time. Shortly thereafter, one of them presented his ID, and he was indeed a police officer, after which they physically assaulted him, dragged him into a car, and took him to the police station," Khajakyan said.
