Video: Russian Authorities Stop Armenian Trucks Demanding Large Bribes

Samson Grigoryan wrote on his Facebook page:

“In the territory of the Russian Federation, specifically at the vehicle inspection checkpoint in Bataisk, all Armenian trucks are being stopped indiscriminately, and a bribe of 50,000 rubles is being demanded. Otherwise, they are prohibited from continuing their journey. The justification given is that the vehicles are overloaded. However, all vehicles had already been weighed at the Larsi and Georgian border checkpoints and have no weight-related issues.

Additionally, it was reported that no Georgian or Azerbaijani trucks are being stopped, and currently, the commander of the post is of Azerbaijani ethnicity.

The drivers are urging our officials to take action.
