One of the Detained Officials from Gyumri Municipality Released: He Submitted His Resignation

According to Aravot.am, on the previous day, two employees of the Gyumri Municipality were arrested by the Deputy Prosecutor of Shirak Province for allegedly accepting bribes in exchange for not reporting illegal constructions.

One of them is Manuk Arakelyan, head of the real estate management department of the Gyumri Municipality, while the other is Slavic Ghazaryan, a leading specialist in the same department. Edgar Tumasyan, the lawyer of Manuk Arakelyan, stated in a conversation with Aravot.am that he challenged the grounds and purpose of the arrest yesterday, and the court found the arrest to be unlawful and illegal.
