My Step MP Narine Khachatryan Resigns from Mandate
The MP from the "My Step" faction of the National Assembly of Armenia, Narine Khachatryan, has submitted her resignation notice.
This was announced by the Speaker of the National Assembly, Ararat Mirzoyan, during the session on May 31.
“According to the first part of Article 155 of the constitutional law of the National Assembly, MP Narine Khachatryan submitted her resignation notice on May 30. In accordance with the relevant article of the National Assembly Rules of Procedure, if the MP withdraws their resignation in writing within one week after the announcement of the resignation, the Speaker of the National Assembly will make a statement regarding that,” Mirzoyan stated.
“If the MP does not withdraw their resignation request, a protocol regarding the cessation of their powers will be prepared and signed by the Speaker of the National Assembly. The resignation is considered accepted from the moment of the publication of the protocol,” he added.
