Live: Protest Action Demanding Meeting with the Speaker of the National Assembly
A protest action is currently taking place near the National Assembly entrance, with around 1000 people gathered. This is reported by ArmLur.am.
The bookmakers are demanding a meeting with the Speaker of the National Assembly, opposing the decision made by the Economic Committee of the National Assembly.
Participants of the protest state that closing down the bookmakers will leave them without jobs.
According to an eyewitness report to AuroraNews.am, the Demirchyan Street adjacent to the National Assembly is currently closed due to the large number of people at the protest. Police officers are on site attempting to open the roadway. Traffic is heavily congested on Baghramyan Avenue and Orbeli Street.
