Iravunk: Discontent Within 'My Step' Group Over Pashinyan

Iravunk newspaper reports: “As Nikol Pashinyan neglects the activities of the ‘My Step’ faction for several weeks, true chaos is beginning to emerge within. Each member is trying to express themselves in any way possible — dissolving the Constitutional Court, liquidating the Supreme Judicial Council, and undermining whatever they can reach, even putting their own government under pressure.

The absurdity is that the members of this faction still do not understand what their role is. They demand that the government make changes and propose laws, yet they forget that laws are born in the National Assembly, and its main function is to develop laws, not to make baseless and uninformed statements left and right.

The absurdity has reached such heights that a party with an absolute majority in a parliamentary country is incapable of doing anything on its own initiative; they always require Nikol Pashinyan’s instructions, as they cannot even take half a step without them. Additionally, there is a clash of interests among various wings within the faction. According to our sources, there is already discontent towards Nikol Pashinyan within the faction, but for now, it is only being voiced among his trusted individuals. The same source claims that the day is not far off when the fragmentation within the faction will become evident.

As Pashinyan's popularity declines, the number of those distancing themselves from him and breaking away from the group is increasing. There is nothing strange in this, as people gathered without an ideological basis, who share only one commonality — having blocked a crossroads and a street together — cannot traverse a political path and solve national issues collectively.”
