‘Fact’ Newspaper: Instead of Lyova Yranosyan, the Prime Minister’s Classmate
‘Fact’ newspaper writes: “By the decree of the President of the Republic of Armenia, Vahe Ghazaryan has been appointed as the commander of the police forces of the Republic of Armenia and the deputy chief of police.
Previously, this position was held by Lyova Yranosyan, who is now accused of intentionally carrying out actions during the April 2018 events with special measures that evidently went beyond the scope of his authority and significantly harmed the rights and legal interests of citizens, as well as negligently causing serious consequences.
According to official information, Vahe Ghazaryan was the head of the Tavush regional department before his appointment to this position. According to ‘Fact’ newspaper’s sources, Ghazaryan is a classmate of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. Essentially, the Prime Minister continues reshuffling and filling a number of responsible positions with his close associates, as rumors suggest behind the scenes, ensuring protection from any potential undesirable events.”
