Message from President Armen Sargsyan

In a message, President Armen Sargsyan calls on all citizens of Armenia, regardless of their social and political positions and roles, to maintain peace and calm, and to uphold the Constitution and laws.

“Dear compatriots,

The irreversible nature of democratic processes in the Republic of Armenia should raise no doubts either within or beyond our borders.

According to the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia, authority belongs to the people. Thus, the branches of government—legislative, executive, and judicial—must reflect the collective will of the people of Armenia and serve their constitutional purposes.

Therefore, I call on all citizens of Armenia, regardless of their social and political positions and roles, to maintain peace and calm, and to uphold the Constitution and laws.

Currently abroad on a working visit, I remain in constant communication with the relevant state bodies.

I urge that sobriety and tolerance prevail in these days. God bless us all,” the President's message reads.
