We Should Not Deceive Ourselves: Mamedyarov's Statement

Armenia and Azerbaijan must start substantive negotiations. This was stated by Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Elmar Mamedyarov during a conversation with journalists at the anniversary conference dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the "Eastern Partnership" held in Brussels.

According to the Azerbaijani Trend agency, Mamedyarov indicated, "We should not deceive ourselves by suggesting that we do not know what we are talking about, what criteria and principles are present. Everyone knows what is happening, what the plan is, and not only in the two countries but also in the capitals of the co-chairing countries. The only thing that is truly necessary is political will."
