Yerevan Residents Will Pay for New Elevators, Says Deputy Mayor
New elevators in Yerevan are expected to help reduce the cost of services necessary for their proper maintenance in the future. This was announced by Yerevan's Deputy Mayor Hayk Sargsyan at a press conference on May 13.
Sargsyan stated that solar panels will also be installed, which will help reduce electricity costs.
According to Sargsyan, Yerevan residents will pay for the new elevators over the next 25 years.
He emphasized, “The cost of a modern quality elevator, with 2-3 guarantees, will be 10 million drams for residents of one entrance.”
At the same time, he noted that the replacement of an elevator can only begin after obtaining consent from all residents of the residential building.
