Special Investigation Service Declines to Open Case on Incident Involving MP Sergey Bagratyan
The Special Investigation Service has rejected the initiation of a criminal case regarding the incident involving MP Sergey Bagratyan from the ‘Prosperous Armenia’ faction, which occurred in Vayots Dzor. This information was provided by the spokesperson for the Special Investigation Service, Marina Ohanyan.
“The investigator of the Special Investigation Service has declined to open a criminal case citing the absence of a criminal offense,” stated Ohanyan.
It is noteworthy that the Deputy Governor of Vayots Dzor, Razmik Tonoyan, had reported to the police that MP Sergey Bagratyan and Armen Sedrakyan, the administrative head of the Artabuyunk community in Yeghegis, assaulted him on April 27, demonstrating disrespectful behavior and using offensive language. However, Sergey Bagratyan denied his involvement in the incident.
