Participation in the Wine Festival has Increased Tenfold, I Refuse to Attend: City Hall Employee
Hakob Karapetyan, the spokesperson for the Yerevan City Hall, wrote on his Facebook page: “The fact that participation in the wine festival has increased tenfold is one thing, even if it is somewhat acceptable. The extremely loud music and the unbearable atmosphere are another; perhaps they will consider these issues and make changes next year. But the fact that there is not even one word of Armenian in the brochures that serve as entry tickets is frankly unacceptable. If the organizers believe that I, as an Armenian-speaking citizen, am not important enough to warrant the additional expense of printing a few pages in Armenian, then I refuse to participate in this celebration.”
