Company Responsible for Communications Work on Ashtarak-Talin Section of North-South Road Fined
The newspaper 'Zhoghovurd' reports that on April 5, the State Non-Commercial Organization (SNCO) for the implementation of transport projects fully terminated the contract with the 'Khoyank' company for failing to meet responsibilities.
According to the reports, a contract was signed between the SNCO and 'Khoyank' on June 7, 2018, wherein the company was to carry out the project modification works for the relocation of communications (overhead electrical lines, drinking water pipelines, communication cables, and gas pipelines) on the Ashtarak-Talin road section being reconstructed as part of the North-South Road Corridor Investment Program - Program 2.
Furthermore, 'Khoyank' was supposed to complete works worth 3 million drams by July 7, 2018; however, these works were not carried out within the stipulated time frame. 'Zhoghovurd' learned that 'Khoyank' is required to pay a fine of over 420,000 drams. It is also possible that due to its unscrupulous behavior, the company may end up on the blacklist of companies prohibited from participating in procurement processes.
