Shirkhanyan's Letter Addressed to Kocharyan is at the NSS: Vanetsyan

“Inspection measures are being carried out. If there are substantiated facts, further action will be taken,” said Arthur Vanetsyan, the director of the National Security Service (NSS), during a meeting of the parliamentary standing committee on defense and security. He was addressing the content of a letter directed to former President Robert Kocharyan from former Deputy Minister of Defense and accused in the armed group case, Vahan Shirkhanyan.

Vanetsyan noted that the letter has been sent to the NSS by the Prosecutor General.

Andranik Kocharyan, the chairman of the committee, added that he knew former Prime Minister Vazgen Sarkisyan well and emphasized that the issue related to Meghri mentioned in the letter is a national security concern that needs clarification.

“If there is a need for my assistance, I am ready to help,” Kocharyan added.

It is noteworthy that Shirkhanyan recently provided a letter consisting of 23 points to First News, which was addressed to Robert Kocharyan and was a response to the second president's published book.
