Karen Karapetyan to Take New Position in Russia
The government of the Russian Federation has approved the composition of the board of directors for the oil and gas holding "Zarubezhneft." The candidacy of former Armenian Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan has also been nominated and confirmed as part of the seven-member board.
According to TASS, "Zarubezhneft" is a public joint-stock company and a strategic entity of the Russian state. Since 2007, it has expanded its operations, embarking on new oil production projects in the Balkans, Latin America, northern Russia, and Vietnam.
