Unstable Individual Attempts to Jump from Victory Bridge

On March 11, at 21:11, the 911 emergency service received a call reporting that a citizen was attempting to commit suicide by jumping off the Victory Bridge in Yerevan (having crossed the bridge's dangerous edge). Rescuers were urgently needed.

A response team from the National Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and a junior instructor from the psychological support division were dispatched to the scene.

It was determined that G.G. (born in 1992) was in an intoxicated state and intended to take his own life.

Rescuers, police personnel, and bystanders successfully prevented G.G.'s suicide attempt. He was subsequently transported to the Nubarashen Psychiatric Clinic.
