The newspaper "Zhamanak" reports that recently there have been opinions suggesting that the fight against corruption and illegal enrichment should also target the "Zvartnots" airport, where numerous corrupt mechanisms are present.

According to circulating rumors, certain high-ranking officials at the airport have been and may still be involved in the procurement of jet fuel for the airport and reselling it to some major gasoline importing companies operating in Armenia, which then mix the jet fuel with gasoline and sell it to consumers.

The entire secret lies in the fact that the customs clearance of kerosene is not conducted with the application of excise tax, making it significantly cheaper than the customs clearance price of gasoline. According to the information we have received, this aviation fuel has been resold in Armenia through the companies "Max Group" and "Flash," which have direct connections to Serzh Sargsyan and his son-in-law.

Incidentally, we have also learned that the same "Max Group" has imported jet fuel for the purpose of resale to the airport. This raises the question of how such processes can occur in one of Armenia's most important facilities without the knowledge and potential criminal negligence of both former and current officials.
