Man Loses Money at 'Royal' Casino and Reports Hostage Situation
According to Shamshyan.com, an emergency incident occurred on February 17 in the Kotayk region. A citizen reported to the police that at the 'Royal' casino in Tsaghkadzor, a group of individuals, including bodyguards of former presidents, officials, and oligarchs, had taken hostages and threatened them with knives to seize their money and gold jewelry.
As reported by photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, while the police were on their way to investigate the call, another report was received from an unknown citizen stating that they had been held hostage and threatened with a gun.
Officers from the Kotayk regional police determined that the authors of the reports were residents of Tsaghkadzor, Varsenik D. and Ara M.
According to G. Shamshyan, it was also revealed that Ara M. had provided his wife with false information to justify his significant money loss at the 'Royal' casino. The couple subsequently informed the police that the information mentioned in the reports was fabricated by Ara M. and did not correspond to reality. An investigation is underway at the Hrazdan police station regarding the incident.
