“Whenever you approach someone and say that they need to pay taxes, they respond, ‘Why should I pay taxes?’ One is a famous singer, and the other is a renowned lawyer. No one wants to pay taxes, but everyone wants salaries to be increased, pensions to be raised, the level of defense to be improved, and roads to be better,” said Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a speech at the National Assembly today.

He added that the public demands everything from the government but does nothing in return.

“You say this should be done, that should be done, and it will be good, but in the end, you won't get your salary,” he warned.
