Azerbaijani Journalists in Armenia: Not Their First Visit — Details on Turan Editor's Visit

As reported during a press briefing today, the spokeswoman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Anna Naghdalyan, announced that Shahin Hajiyev, the editor of the Azerbaijan news agency "Turan," has arrived in Armenia with a group of journalists to carry out professional activities.

Hajiyev has already conducted interviews with various officials, including Tevan Poghosyan, an advisor to the President of Armenia on a volunteer basis and a political scientist.

In an interview with AuroraNews, Tevan Poghosyan shared that Hajiyev's interview mainly focused on the recent changes occurring in Armenia, discussing everything that has happened and is currently taking place. There were also questions regarding foreign policy direction, the Nagorno-Karabakh issue, and Armenian-Turkish relations.

"If they want to see and understand with their own eyes, I am glad that they have come to Armenia. I would be even happier if they also visited the Republic of Artsakh. They should go there, see it with their own eyes, talk to the people, and realize that many stereotypes that might be told about us in Azerbaijan do not correspond to reality," said Poghosyan.

AuroraNews also spoke with Anna Naghdalyan, the spokeswoman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She mentioned that the group of Azerbaijani journalists has already left Armenia. According to Naghdalyan, this is not the first journalistic visit from Azerbaijan or other countries to Armenia.

"This has been happening for many years. There is no need to look for a special message in this. We have always been open to journalists," Naghdalyan stated.
