Major Car Accident in Front of 'Shshi Melo' 'Partez' Restaurant: One Injured

On January 27, a major car accident occurred in the Kotayk Province. Around 8:00 PM, on the Arzni highway in Abovyan, vehicles belonging to 37-year-old Mher Vardanyan from Aramus village and 29-year-old Narek Mendikyan from Abovyan collided in front of the 'Partez' restaurant complex owned by former MP Melik Manukyan, known as 'Shshi Melo'.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, as a result of the collision, the Niva flipped over, and a passenger, 40-year-old Mkrtich Mikaelyan from Hrazdan, was taken to the 'Abovyan' medical center with bodily injuries. It has been established that the driver of the BMW, N. Mendikyan, was sober, while the driver of the Niva, N. Vardanyan, was intoxicated, with a very high level of alcohol in his system.

It was also found that M. Vardanyan did not have the right to drive, as he did not possess a driver's license.

The photojournalist reports that the driver, N. Mendikyan, works as a senior investigator at the Abovyan investigative department of the Kotayk regional investigative committee.
