What, We Made a Revolution for This? – Babken Pipoyan

Babken Pipoyan, the president of the NGO "Informed and Protected Consumer," wrote on his Facebook page:

“Bonuses have become a key topic in recent days, receiving various evaluations – many have received them, but that was little. What, we made a revolution for this? We did it so that employees would be compensated, among other things. It is sad, but the fact is that the focus has again shifted to the background. A bonus is a form of encouragement, and therefore it is essential to understand what work it was paid for and why at that rate. Is a governor who received a 104% bonus working better than one who received 58% or did not receive anything at all, or did the budget simply create that possibility? All of this can be demanded when clear criteria for evaluating work are established, and strict control over performance is implemented.

This is the model of governance and accountability that will allow for real changes to be recorded. By the way, this should apply to the entire state apparatus. The expression 'A high-ranking official has been dismissed for inadequate performance of work duties' will no longer come as a surprise or be unprecedented.”
