Escape Attempt from Nubarashen Penitentiary: Wall Was Torn Down
This morning, an escape attempt occurred from the Nubarashen Penitentiary. Two detainees managed to break through the front wall of their cell and made their way toward the exit. This was reported by NEWS.am.
The information was confirmed in a conversation with the Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Justice's Penitentiary Service. The escape attempt took place around 04:40.
The detainees at the Nubarashen correctional facility are E. V. (charged under Article 175, Part 3, Item 1, Article 183, Part 3, Item 3, Article 131, Parts 2, 3, 4, 6, and Article 139, Part 1, and Article 138, Part 1 of the RA Criminal Code) and P. M. (charged under Article 175, Part 2, Item 4 of the RA Criminal Code). They broke through the front wall of their cell and entered the restricted area of the facility, where they attempted to move toward the exit after crossing a barbed wire fence. However, thanks to the vigilance and alertness of the on-duty officer and the response team, their escape attempt was thwarted.
Materials are being prepared regarding the incident.
