Gagik Tsarukyan Issues a Message

Gagik Tsarukyan, in a message from the Central Penitentiary, made a heartfelt plea: "My request is that you support and defend all our citizens who are currently subject to political persecution in Armenia."

He noted, "I have learned that various prominent figures from Armenia and the diaspora have initiated the establishment of a 'Public Committee for the Defense of Gagik Tsarukyan.' I am grateful to all of you. It is difficult to express my heartfelt emotions and gratitude to you in just a few words. I can only say that I will never forget this."

Tsarukyan continued, “At the same time, I would like to make a request, a suggestion, an appeal: do not limit the activities of this committee solely to the protection of my rights. My request is that you support and defend all our citizens who are currently subject to political persecution in Armenia. Unite your efforts to fight for the release of our compatriots held in Baku. Contribute to establishing justice and internal solidarity in the country.”

“The struggle for human rights and justice requires serious efforts and collective work. This is not just a matter of freedom for one or a few individuals. Our country must ensure justice, security, and protection for its citizens internally, in order to be able to defend them from external threats. Your authority, your human qualities, your principles, and your collective efforts can change many things for the better. Once again, thank you,” said Gagik Tsarukyan in his message from the Central Penitentiary.
