Arman Tsarukyan Makes Unexpected Statement
Arman Tsarukyan, the second-ranked fighter in the lightweight category of UFC, has expressed his hopes of capturing the title in his weight class and defending it five times.
“For now, I don't want to have a rematch with Makhachev. That will happen after I defend the belt at least five times, so I can surpass his record. Makhachev has defended it four times. I want to do it five times, and then I will either end my career or move up to welterweight,” Tsarukyan stated in the UFC's Deep Water podcast.
On September 19, Arman Tsarukyan will compete in the UFC 331 event in Los Angeles against Brazilian Mauricio Rufio. Tsarukyan has achieved 23 victories and experienced 3 losses in MMA.
