The format of the 25-day exercises has significant room for improvement. This was stated by former Minister of Defense David Tonoyan during a conversation with journalists.

"I do not wish to give any evaluation at this moment, but generally speaking, I have expressed my opinion regarding the 25-day exercises. I believe that this format has serious improvement issues that need to be addressed," noted Tonoyan.

Touching on the legal case he is involved in, Tonoyan emphasized once again that there is no possibility for the public to follow their trial more broadly. "I have certain limitations on what I can present to you regarding what is happening. As for the case, we are in the final stages; I believe that after today the defense speeches will remain, as we have already presented counterarguments," he stated.

It is noteworthy that former Defense Minister David Tonoyan is involved in a criminal case related to significant abuses and embezzlements in the acquisition process of "unfit missiles" or military ammunition. He is accused of abuse of official powers, forgery, and embezzling an amount of around $4.5 million. According to the indictment, unusable or unfit missiles were supplied for army needs in 2018. David Tonoyan denies the charges against him.
