High-ranking Diplomats from Armenia, Azerbaijan, and the USA Meet in Washington
As part of an event dedicated to the one-year anniversary of the Washington Peace Summit, a reception was held in Washington featuring the participation of Armenia’s Acting Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan, Azerbaijan’s Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov, and U.S. Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Alison Hooker.
On August 10, in connection with the one-year anniversary of the Washington Peace Summit, a meeting took place between Armenia's Acting Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan, Azerbaijan's Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov, and U.S. Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Alison Hooker.
Vahan Kostanyan praised the personal contribution of U.S. President Donald Trump to the organization of last year's summit and the ongoing process of institutionalizing peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan this year.
During the discussions, the parties exchanged views on the recorded positive advancements, regional infrastructure projects, and steps aimed at strengthening mutual trust. The necessity of addressing existing humanitarian issues was emphasized.
