Large Fire Erupts in Technological University Building in Russia After Drone Strike

On the night of August 3, a major fire broke out in the buildings of the Shukhov State Technological University in Belgorod, Russia, following a drone strike. According to published information, the university had developed automated control systems for drones based on the 'Milandr' microprocessor.

The institution had previously stated that these systems are intended for civilian purposes, such as infrastructure monitoring and aerial photography.

It has also been reported that this summer the university conducted training for school children in the design and management of drone systems.
