Britain Transfers Challenger 2 Tanks to Ukraine Without Additional Armored Vehicles
Britain has handed over its Challenger 2 tanks to Ukraine without any additional armored vehicles. This was reported by military analyst David Axe in an article for Forbes.
“A package of auxiliary armored vehicles was likely not provided to Ukraine because it would have added several tons to the overall weight, making the Ukrainian Challenger 2s even less maneuverable,” he wrote.
The expert noted that these tanks have low mobility on soft ground. According to him, this often results in them sinking into the soil and necessitating the towing of other combat vehicles.
