Opposition MPs Meet with the Catholicos of All Armenians

MPs from the “Hayastan” and “Uzhger Hayastan” factions of the National Assembly visited the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin today, where they met with the Catholicos of All Armenians, Karekin II, and received his blessing for their further parliamentary activities.

MP Anna Grigoryan from the “Hayastan” faction stated that during the meeting, ideas were exchanged, and the Catholicos presented his observations, particularly emphasizing the importance of national solidarity.

The Mother See has not yet responded in any way to the authorities' decision not to invite the Catholicos to the first session of the National Assembly. Today, the information system of the Mother See declined to comment on the incident.
