Khandanyan Comments on Pashinyan's Statement
The Chairman of the National Assembly's Standing Committee on Foreign Relations, Sargis Khandanyan, addressed reporters regarding Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's recent statement about the Declaration of Independence. He clarified that the discussion focuses on the emphases of the document's content.
"This document was adopted in 1990 when Armenia was not independent, but the vision described in the Declaration of Independence presents a very unrealistic picture of the independent republic of Armenia," Khandanyan said, noting that he shares the Prime Minister's perspective. He added that, in this context, the Constitutional Court's decision on September 26 was significant from a legal assessment perspective.
