VIDEO: The railway is our property, we are renovating our home, says Pashinyan
Armenia has no need to justify itself to anyone regarding the restoration of the railway. This was stated by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a press conference.
“We can use any legal tool, but our goal is not only to act legally, but also to act amicably and patiently. We will continue the dialogue; we will not close ourselves off,” the Prime Minister said.
Referring to the legal grounds for the railway's restoration, Pashinyan stated that its formulation is a task for lawyers. “It is our property; we are restoring and renovating our property. We are renovating our home—who do we need to justify that to?” he said.
According to Pashinyan, Armenia also has no need to resort to arbitration, as it possesses all the necessary tools to resolve the issue. “Why should we go to arbitration if we have the tools to make decisions? If anyone disagrees, they should appeal to arbitration. We have no need to resort to arbitration,” the Prime Minister emphasized.
He added that the legal basis for the government’s decision is outlined in the relevant project.
