Ararat Company Warns: Harvest of Over 2,000 Grape Growers at Risk

At the government building, where a protest was taking place by employees of closed facilities, Armen Zakaryan told journalists that people had gathered to demand the restoration of normal operations of the enterprise in order to fulfill their work and contractual obligations.

He emphasized that grape harvesting will begin in early September, and they need to prepare for this process. Zakaryan added that there is an agreement with the largest partner, the 'Synergy' company, to provide a $4-5 million advance for grape procurement.

According to Zakaryan, the suspension of the enterprise has already caused enormous financial and reputational losses; relationships that took 25 years to build are crumbling, and there is a growing reputation of an unreliable partner.

He also mentioned that they have a preliminary agreement with more than 2,000 grape growers: "If we do not procure grapes from them, serious issues regarding sales will arise. Within the framework of the inquiry, everything that could be done has been done—from searches to the detention of the director, and we have provided all the necessary documents. It's unclear what is preventing the resumption of work."

The company has around 400 employees, who are unable to provide a clear answer about when work will resume due to the uncertainty. The enterprise has been closed since July 6.
