22 Citizens Who Attended Wedding Seek Medical Help: NCDC

On July 26 and the night of July 27, 22 citizens from the Tavush and Lori regions of Armenia sought medical assistance exhibiting symptoms characteristic of food poisoning. This information was reported by the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention (NCDC).

According to the epidemiological investigation conducted by specialists from the NCDC, it was determined that all patients had attended a wedding ceremony in the village of Jojkan in the Lori region. The patients displayed symptoms typical of acute intestinal infections, mainly diarrhea and vomiting, without high fever. All patients received the necessary medical assistance, and their health status was assessed as satisfactory.

In connection with the incident, the NCDC specialists have implemented the necessary anti-epidemic measures. Biological samples have been taken from the patients, as well as samples of foodstuffs and the surrounding environment for laboratory research. It is noteworthy that confirmation of staphylococcus has been found in some patients.
