Despite Disruption Efforts, Azerbaijan is Committed to a Peace Agenda: Aliyev
"We have been living in peace for over 9 months and learning to live in peace," stated Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev during his speech at the plenary session of the ECHR summit, which he joined via video conference.
"Azerbaijan has unilaterally lifted all transit restrictions that were imposed since the early 1990s. Since then, several thousand tons of cargo have reached Armenia through Azerbaijani territory. Azerbaijan has further advanced by beginning to supply our petroleum products, specifically gasoline and diesel, for the first time to Armenia, thus laying the groundwork for our trade relations," Aliyev noted.
Concluding his speech, Aliyev expressed gratitude and congratulated Prime Minister Pashinyan on hosting the ECHR summit in Armenia, stating, "Despite all the efforts of those who are trying to disrupt this process, Azerbaijan is committed to a peace agenda, and my Armenian colleague's speech clearly emphasized that."
