Landslide Barrier Collapses in Kapan: Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations
In Kapan, there has been no river flooding, but due to heavy rains, a landslide barrier has collapsed on Arzumanyan Street. This was reported by the Rescue Service of the Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations.
“On March 27, at 12:10 PM, the regional operational management center of Syunik received information that the Voghji River was flooding in Kapan. It was later clarified that no flooding had occurred. The landslide barrier on Arzumanyan Street collapsed due to heavy rains, causing waterlogging on the roadway, and there are stranded vehicles,” the statement said.
The Rescue Service has responded swiftly to the situation, and appropriate measures are being undertaken on-site.
