Prime Minister's Spokesperson Nazeli Baghdasaryan Issues Statement
Dikgazete.com has published another piece of misinformation, alleging that the Armenian Government intends to revise and withdraw the benefits granted to participants of the Nagorno-Karabakh war. The claim is entirely false and has no basis in reality. This was stated by the spokesperson of the Prime Minister of Armenia, Nazeli Baghdasaryan.
“It is noteworthy that this misinformation is constructed with a clear targeting logic, directed at specific groups within the public. The social and moral status of war participants is a topic of high sensitivity for the public, and the choice of such content aims to foster distrust in state institutions and government policies.
The network through which this information has been disseminated indicates a systematic and organized nature; it was initially released on an unknown platform, then quickly reproduced by several Turkish and Azerbaijani media outlets, actively circulated on platform X through dubious and interconnected accounts, and has also been shared by Telegram channels of Russian origin.
Particular attention should also be paid to the fact that this misinformation has been widely propagated in the Armenian information space by certain opposition circles and the media serving them. This indicates that the information threats directed against the Republic of Armenia sometimes coincide with and are further exacerbated by certain political actors operating within the country.
The aforementioned displays clear characteristics of foreign information manipulation and intervention (FIMI), so please refrain from spreading unverified information and do not contribute to the reproduction of misinformation,” stated Nazeli Baghdasaryan, the spokesperson for the Prime Minister of Armenia.
