Trump Threatens Iran: Major Power Plant Worth $10 Billion to Be Destroyed
U.S. President Donald Trump has stated that Washington could strike a major power plant located in Iran, which he claims is valued at around $10 billion. He noted that such an operation could be technically carried out quickly and without obstacles.
Trump emphasized that, in the case of an appropriate target, a single strike would be sufficient to completely disable the plant. However, he added that such an action has not yet been taken as both sides continue to negotiate.
Speaking about the prevention of possible escalation, the U.S. President mentioned that it is preferable to find a solution without new casualties and significant infrastructure destruction. He also did not specify which power plant he was referring to.
Earlier, Iran's Atomic Energy Organization reported that the U.S. and Israel had launched new strikes in the vicinity of the Bushehr nuclear power plant located in the southwest of the country. According to the organization, the plant was not damaged, and there were no casualties among the personnel.
International Atomic Energy Agency Director Rafael Grossi, for his part, has called on the parties to exercise maximum restraint to eliminate the risk of a nuclear accident.
