Improving the Early Conditional Release Institute from Punishment: Srbuhi Galayan
“We will emphasize individual approaches to ensure that individuals returning to society have a greater potential for reintegration and that the path to resocialization is smoother,” stated Justice Minister Srbuhi Galayan in the National Assembly, addressing the frequently raised question of whether a pardon is planned or not.
“That is why we are improving the institute of early conditional release from punishment. In 2025, 170 individuals were conditionally released from punishment, which is 32 more than the figure for 2024. This year, we already have 40 individuals who have been released from punishment. Compared to the same period last year, this is an increase of more than 15 individuals,” the minister added.
