Iran's President Issues Statement
Iran will continue to strike U.S. military bases in the Middle East from which, according to Tehran, operations against its territory are being conducted. This was stated by the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian.
According to the Iranian president, such actions are considered steps derived from the right to self-defense. He emphasized that Tehran does not intend to strike other countries in the region or start conflicts with them.
Pezeshkian made this statement during a phone conversation with Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif. According to the Iranian president's press service, regional security issues were also discussed during the conversation.
The Iranian leader stated that Tehran's position remains unchanged: the targets of the strikes will only be those military facilities from which, according to Iran, operations against its territory are being carried out.
