Armenia is the Most Expensive Country to Live in the Region
According to cost of living indices, Armenia ranks first among the countries of the South Caucasus. This is evidenced by data published by Numbeo, the world’s largest database on cost of living and quality of life.
In the ranking, Armenia holds the 87th position. Georgia occupies the 116th, while Azerbaijan is in 122nd place.
Among other countries in the region, Turkey is ranked 93rd and Russia 104th.
The Numbeo index is formed by taking into account several factors, including the cost of living, prices of food and housing, crime rates, quality of healthcare and transportation, as well as other indicators.
