Moldova to Withdraw from CIS
Moldova will withdraw from the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). This was announced by the head of the country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The country is progressively nullifying the agreements that were the basis for its membership in this union.
Moldova no longer wishes to be part of the post-Soviet club created by Moscow after the collapse of the USSR.
