Venezuela to Export 2 Billion Dollars Worth of Oil to the U.S.
Caracas and Washington have reached an agreement to export 2 billion dollars worth of Venezuelan crude oil to the United States. This was announced by U.S. President Donald Trump on the Truth Social platform.
“I am pleased to announce that the interim government of Venezuela will provide high-quality, sanctioned oil between 30 to 50 million barrels to the United States. The oil will be sold at market price, and the funds will be managed by me, as President of the United States, ensuring that it is used for the benefit of the Venezuelan people and the United States,” Trump wrote.
Reuters emphasizes that due to this deal, oil supplies to China will be redirected, allowing Venezuela to avoid production cuts.
