Russia Will Support China in Case of Increased Tensions Around Taiwan: Lavrov
Russia will support China in the event of heightened tensions surrounding Taiwan. This was announced by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
“The procedures for actions in such situations are outlined in the treaty of friendship, cooperation, and partnership with China dated July 16, 2001, which is fundamental to bilateral relations. One of the fundamental principles enshrined in this document is mutual support in the protection of national unity and territorial integrity,” Lavrov emphasized.
