New Mechanisms to Prevent Corruption Risks and Possible Abuses
The government has approved draft laws proposing amendments to the laws "On Public Service" and "On the Commission for the Prevention of Corruption." The purpose of the changes is to introduce new and mandatory protocols for the study of integrity within the state management system.
The drafts stipulate that the integrity study will apply to the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Ministers, Ministers, their advisors, including those appointed on a public basis, as well as Deputy Ministers.
According to the government, the introduction of mandatory integrity checks will promote increased transparency within the public system and strengthen public confidence in state institutions. At the same time, the consistent implementation of such mechanisms will help reduce corruption risks and prevent possible abuses.
With the adoption of the projects, it is also expected to raise the accountability of individuals holding public office and expand the tools for public oversight, thereby strengthening the institutional foundations for the prevention of corruption.
