New Details on Brawl Involving Polish Fans Near Vernissage: 40 Arrested
A brawl involving Polish football fans took place following the Conference League match between Noah and Legia. According to NEWS.am Sport, the incident occurred immediately after the game at the Vazgen Sargsyan Republican Stadium in Yerevan.
The fight broke out on Khandjian Street, where a significant number of Russian fans were also present. The brawl spread from near the statue of Vardan Mamikonyan to the Vernissage area.
Later, the fans were taken to the Central Police Department. Reports indicate that the number of arrests has reached 40, including a group of Russians who had no connection to the Noah-Legia match and were not fans.
Previously, it was reported that Polish fans had caused significant damage near the Vernissage, leading to 17 arrests.
