Belgian Prime Minister Calls Idea Regarding Russian Assets 'Theft'
Belgian Prime Minister has referred to the European Commission's idea regarding Russian assets as 'theft'. This was reported by VRT NWS.
Bart De Wever criticized the European Commission's proposal to use frozen Russian assets to provide compensation loans to Ukraine. 'Of course, there are better solutions than stealing money from the Central Bank of Russia. This is a radical step. I think it is very reckless and unthoughtful,' he said.
The Prime Minister suggested that a legal action could be taken against the European Commission to obstruct any potential decision regarding the use of these assets.
