The Prolongation of the War Will Cost Russia Dearly, Says Von der Leyen
The prolongation of the war will cost Russia dearly. This statement was made by the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen. “The longer Russia's war against Ukraine continues, the more expensive it will be for Moscow. The proposal for compensation loans, although structurally complex, ultimately aims to achieve this goal: increasing the cost of the war for Russia. Therefore, the longer President Putin of the Russian Federation continues the war, taking lives and destroying Ukrainian infrastructure, the higher the costs will be for Russia. Europe and its allies have the means and determination to increase pressure on Russia to bring it to the negotiating table,” von der Leyen noted.
